Man’s Car Damaged So It Could Only Be Driven in Reverse, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police are investigating an unusual criminal mischief incident in which a man’s car was reportedly damaged in a way that only allowed it to be driven in reverse.

In a news release issued Thursday, police said the Pontiac Grand Prix was parked in the 2200 block of Koehler Drive when it was entered by an unknown person sometime during the overnight hours of May 25.

“The vehicle was found slightly moved forward and up against another vehicle owned by the same party,” police said. “Somehow the vehicle was damaged and could only be driven in reverse.”

Although the interior of the car had been “gone through,” police said nothing was taken.

The owner of the car took it to be repaired, but police did not say how much the repairs cost.

Anyone with information about this incident should call township police at 610-317-6110.
