Lower Saucon Township Police said Thursday that a South Whitehall Township man was cited for careless driving, after he allegedly rolled his car in the 2100 block of Riverside Drive May 17.

In a news release, police said Roberto Rodriguez Jr., of the 1000 block of Dylan Drive, was eastbound at 1:05 p.m. when he said he attempted to avoid hitting an animal that was crossing the road.

“Rodriguez lost control of his vehicle and struck a large landscape rock, three mailboxes, and rolled the vehicle onto its side,” police said.
