A Lower Saucon Township man who was apparently at the Northampton County Courthouse in Easton Friday in connection with a protection-from-abuse order that was under consideration allegedly caused a scene and will likely be charged with disorderly conduct–and possibly with making terroristic threats–after authorities say he made obscene gestures at sheriff’s deputies, allegedly pointed his hand at them as if it were a gun and drove back and forth in front of the courthouse while revving his car’s engine, the Express-Times reported.

According to the newspaper’s website, DeSean Redwine, was not taken into custody until he allegedly repeatedly harassed the deputies and seemingly played a game of cat-and-mouse with them, motioning at them through a courthouse window before running off, returning in his car and allegedly parking in a handicapped parking spot.

Redwine is 21 years old and lives in the 1800 block of Viola Lane, according to online public records.

He caused a stir on social media several weeks ago when he posted a Facebook live video called “Savage Time” in which he can be seen confronting numerous Hellertown and Lower Saucon Township police officers outside the Hellertown 7-Eleven.

The officers, who were on a break in the middle of the night, were wasting “precious fossil fuels” because their cruisers were left running while they were inside the convenience store, Redwine said.

“These cops ain’t doing s—! And they’ve still got their vehicles running,” Redwine says at the beginning of the half-hour-long video rant that as of July 8 had received more than 22,000 views and hundreds of shares. “This is what we pay for, America. … They’re literally doing nothing while their engines are burning precious fossil fuels. Turn your damn cars off, bitch!”

At that point in the video, officers exit the store and Hellertown Police Officer Eric Medei can be heard explaining to Redwine that their cars are left running so the batteries on their equipment don’t drain.

“I hate cops. I hate all of you. I hope you guys all die,” he tells Medei, after stating that his uncle is a state police officer.

Redwine was not charged with anything in connection with his confrontation with Saucon Valley police officers June 22.

The alleged incident at the county courthouse involving Redwine came on a day when tensions among law enforcement personnel were running high across the country, after the murder of five Dallas, Texas, police officers during a protest Thursday night.
