Frenchtown Man, 19, Dead Following Wassergass Road Crash: Reports

The man killed in a deadly accident in the 2200 block of Wassergass Road, Lower Saucon Township, late Monday afternoon was a 19-year-old from Frenchtown, N.J., according to a story published by Channel 69 WMFZ-TV News.

The story states that Quinton Gehman was attempting to pass three vehicles on the narrow road in a Toyota Prius when he struck an oncoming minivan, in which another person was critically injured.

Lehigh Valley Live also confirmed the identity of the victim, citing information provided by Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek.

The cause and manner of Gehman’s death are pending an autopsy, the website reported.

The violent accident near Petran Lane happened at about 5:15 p.m. and closed the road for hours, as emergency responders freed the victims and local and state police investigated what had happened.

The injured person has not yet been identified by authorities, and the accident remains under investigation.
