The Panther pin parade continued in Hershey at the PIAA State Championships. Saucon recorded nine falls from Dane Druckenmiller (106), Kevin Dyer (113), Josh Jones (126), Nick Rosengrant (132), Thomas Spirk (160), Dane Csencsits (182), Jarrett Hirschbeck (195), Jared Harka (220) and Tim Weaver (285). Six of the falls came in the first period.
Saucon Valley also earned major-decision bonus points from Justin Kyra (138) and Angelo Mahaffey (152). Kyra won a head spinner 22-9 while Mahaffey tallied an 18-5 victory.
Jason Jones (145) padded his stats with another win. He defeated Max Schultz by a score of 8-1. Schultz had a 20-5 record coming into the tourney.

NEXT UP: The Panthers advance to the PIAA Quarterfinals tomorrow at noon. They will battle the Muncy Indians. Muncy who is the #2 seed out of District IV defeated Brockway 52-18 in the opening round and then edged out the Burrell Buccaneers who are the District VII champs by a 34-30 score in the second round.
