Man Racked Up $2,400 in Charges on Stolen Bank Card, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police say a Moorestown, New Jersey, man has been charged with felony theft by deception (third degree) and felony access device fraud for allegedly using a township couple’s bank card to make 64 unauthorized transactions totaling more than $2,400.

In a news release issued Tuesday, police said Charles Brooks, 61, of the 100 block of W. Central Avenue, turned himself in to police on Monday after a warrant for his arrest was issued.

He was subsequently arraigned and released on bail after being committed to Northampton County Prison, police added.

According to the news release, the thefts occurred in early February.

The alleged victims are residents at a township assisted living facility.
