The event was originally scheduled to be held in late March, but had to be postponed till April 10 due to an early spring snowstorm.

Awards were presented to scout bakers in categories that included Most Unusual, Most Patriotic, Dare You to Eat It and Judges’ Choice, and many of the cakes were raffled off to attendees who purchased tickets with hopes of taking a whole cake home.

The evening was also highlighted by a Bridge Ceremony at which five Webelos II members of the pack “bridged over” to become Boy Scouts.

Saucon Source editor-publisher Josh Popichak was grateful to be one of the judges for the event for a second year in a row.
