A Bucks County man is facing charges after he allegedly caused and then left the scene of an accident on Saucon Valley Road near Bingen Road last month, Lower Saucon Township Police said.

In a news release issued Monday, police said Nicholas Moser, 23, of the 100 block of Municipal Road in the Pipersville section of Tinicum Township, was allegedly under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol when he struck a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old Doylestown woman at 6:36 a.m. Nov. 27.

The woman was not injured, police said.

After the accident, police said Moser headed south on Bingen Road in a Dodge truck, and authorities began to “scour” the area for a vehicle matching that description.

A short time later, Moser reportedly called police to tell them he was involved in the accident, and he later met with them and Pennsylvania State Police in Bucks County and “admitted that he was involved with the crash,” the news release said.

Police said Moser failed field sobriety tests and lab tests later confirmed the presence of drugs and alcohol in his system.
