Ida (Duh) Mease, 90, of Lower Saucon Township died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016 at Valley Manor Nursing Home, Coopersburg. She was the wife of Edward J. Mease. She was born in Lower Saucon Township on March 7, 1925 to the late Stephen and Sophie (Chasar) Duh. She helped her parents on the farm and in the winter she worked at Woolworth’s, Bethlehem. She had also helped her brother at Lehigh Valley Greenhouse. Ida was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Lower Saucon Township, and was involved in many square dance organizations in the area.
In addition to her husband of 67 years; children: Jane A. Moyer of Coopersburg, Ronnie Charles Mease (Carol) of Fairfax, Va.; grandchildren: Gary Moyer of Bath, Christine Moyer of Upper Saucon Township; great-grandchildren: Liliana and Branden Moyer. She was predeceased by siblings: Stephen, Frank, Joseph, William, Charles, Oscar, Louis, Mary Zisko, Christina Leith and Helen Barkley.
Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22, 2016 at New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3233 Apples Church Road, Bethlehem. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
