2 Hellertown Police Officers Promoted to Corporal

Two veteran Hellertown police officers were promoted to the rank of corporal upon the recommendation of Chief Robert Shupp at borough council’s meeting Monday.

Two veteran Hellertown police officers were promoted to the rank of corporal upon the recommendation of Chief Robert Shupp at borough council’s meeting Monday.

Patrolmen Carl Fischer and John Donato’s promotions were unanimously approved by council, 5-0. Council members Herb Payung and James Hill were absent.

Mayor Richard Fluck administered an oath of service to each man following the vote.

Friends and family members were on hand to witness the swearing in.
