A scrappy team from Hellertown (Lehigh Valley) that participated–and lost to Towamencin (Bux-Mont), 13-0–in the first round of the 2016 Connie Mack state baseball tournament in Limeport, Lower Milford Township, Saturday, was eliminated with a second loss (9-1) to a Catasauqua team Sunday afternoon.

In spite of the tough back-to-back losses, which both occurred on extremely hot days, the team played a great season and has much to be proud of.

Congratulations to all the Hellertown players and coaches for your sportsmanship and tenacity.
