A Bethlehem woman was charged with DUI and careless driving after Lower Saucon Township Police say she caused a minor accident in the parking lot at Giant Food Store, 1880 Leithsville Road, on Sunday, Sept. 18 shortly after 4 p.m.

In a news release issued Monday, police said Paige Bain, 41, of the 1700 block of Holly Place, failed field sobriety tests following the accident and was taken to the Bethlehem DUI Center, where she was allegedly determined to have a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .23 percent–or nearly three times the legal limit.

The legal BAC limit for most drivers in Pennsylvania is .08 percent (limits are lower for some classes of motorist).
