A 38-year-old Hellertown man was jailed and his mental state was scheduled to be evaluated after he referred to himself as “Lord Christopher of Pennsylvania” in court paperwork and then refused to identify himself by his true name–Christopher R. Chupella, of the 100 block of Front Street–at a hearing before Northampton County Senior Judge Leonard Zito Thursday, the Morning Call reported last week.

Chupella was before the judge to be arraigned on misdemeanor drug charges stemming from a police search of his apartment in April 2015, in which officers allegedly found cocaine and codeine, the article indicated.

According to court records, Chupella’s $5,000 cash bail–which was set in June, and on which he was free–was revoked by the judge at the hearing.
