Man Charged With ‘Reckless Burning’ in Hellertown Cinder Banks Area

Hellertown Police said a borough man was charged with reckless burning after he allegedly set a fire and failed to extinguish it in the Water Street Park/Cinder Banks area north of W. Water Street Friday afternoon.

Hellertown Police said a borough man was charged with reckless burning after he allegedly set a fire and failed to extinguish it in the Water Street Park/Cinder Banks area north of W. Water Street Friday afternoon.

In a news release issued Monday police said Brian Linde, 58, told officers who responded to the area for a report of a brush fire that he thought the fire was out.

Police sais Linde was cited at the scene and released.
