The Morning Call reported that a 38-year-old Hellertown man who was jailed by a county judge after he refused to identify himself in court last month–and called himself “Lord Christopher of Pennsylvania” in court paperwork filed over the summer–pleaded guilty to one count of drug possession Wednesday as part of a plea agreement that freed him from jail on account of time served and requires him to serve six months of probation.
Christopher R. Chupella, of Front Street, who was charged after police said they found cocaine and codeine in his apartment last year, was jailed in October for using the bizarre tactic before Northampton County Senior Judge Leonard Zito, who also ordered him to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, the newspaper reported.
