Lower Saucon Township Police want to identify the driver of an older maroon Honda van they say struck another vehicle it had been tailgating in a hit-and-run accident on Applebutter Road Friday.

In a news release issued Wednesday, police said the accident happened around 4:25 p.m., when the driver of a vehicle that was being tailgated by the van pulled onto the shoulder to let them pass.

“As the van passed them it struck the driver side rear fender causing damage,” police said. “The vehicle continued on Applebutter Road and did not stop.”

Police identified the victim of the accident as Eastern Warehouse Distributors of Langhorne, Bucks County.

Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110.
