Lower Saucon Township Police said in a news release Wednesday that charges have been filed against a 17-year-old boy who allegedly caused an accident in the area of Rt. 378 and Walter Street April 20.

Lower Saucon Township Police said in a news release Wednesday that charges have been filed against a 17-year-old boy who allegedly caused an accident in the area of Rt. 378 and Walter Street April 20.

According to police, the accident occurred around 5:45 p.m. because the boy was following another vehicle too closely.

While investigating the crash, police said officers found the boy to allegedly be in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and an open container of alcohol, for which he has been charged.
