Malfunctioning Shotgun Blamed for Injury at Sportsmen’s Club Event

According to Lower Saucon Township Police, the unnamed man was lacerated in the 9:19 a.m. accident, and was taken to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill for treatment.

A 78-year-old man from Ferndale, Bucks County, suffered a non-life threatening injury when his shotgun malfunctioned during a skeet shooting event at the Hellertown Sportsmen Association, 1793 Meadows Road, Tuesday morning, Lower Saucon Township Police said in a news release.

According to police, the unnamed man was lacerated in the 9:19 a.m. accident, and was then taken to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill for treatment.
