Saucon seniors Rachel Panek and Jessie Evans are hoping to be podium buddies again this week.

The Saucon Valley Panthers will be well-represented in the 2017 District XI Track and Field AAA Championships.  Fourteen of our athletes have qualified for the tournament and will travel to Blue Mountain High School for the event being held on Tuesday and Wednesday.  A good showing in the District XI Meet will keep the journey alive for a trip to Shippensburg University for the 2017 PIAA State Championships which start on Friday, May 26.

That person is of course our very own Rachel Panek. Hurdles on a cinder track would be like trying to play a baseball game on the beach. So, for Rachel to get to the level that she is at, is quite an accomplishment. She and Coach Russell have worked diligently for this moment and I know it will play out in her favor.”
