Man Drew Handgun, Fired Shot at Pickup in U. Saucon Road Rage Incident, Police Say

Upper Saucon Township Police are investigating a road rage incident in which an unidentified man reportedly drew a handgun and fired a shot at a pickup truck in the 5000 block of Limeport Pike.

The intersection of Limeport Pike and Chestnut Hill Road in Upper Saucon Township was the scene of a reported road rage-related shooting Friday night at around 10:45 p.m.

Upper Saucon Township Police are investigating a road rage incident in which an unidentified man reportedly drew a handgun and fired a shot at a pickup truck in the 5000 block of Limeport Pike, near Chestnut Hill Road late Friday, striking the vehicle in between its tailgate and taillight, Lehigh Valley Live reported Monday.

According to an article published by the news website, the incident unfolded when the driver of the pickup tried to pass an SUV and eventually did pass it before stopping, at which point the shooter got out of the SUV and pulled out a handgun from his waistband before firing it.

No one was reported injured in the shooting, and a description of the suspect hasn’t been released.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 610-282-3064.

This incident occurred not far from the scene of a shooting and lengthy standoff that ended with a murder-suicide a little over a week ago.
