Panther Wrestlers Keep Rollin’ at Juniata Duals (Brought To You By Spirk Brothers Inc.)

The Saucon Valley wrestlers hit the road on Friday and again went west to savor the flavor of victory outside the Lehigh Valley.  Last week, the Panthers strut their stuff at the 2018 Biglerville Canner Duals just outside Gettysburg. This time the Panthers headed a little farther north toward State College to compete in the Juniata Duals.  It doesn’t seem to matter where or when, these Panthers are ready to wrestle!

The Panthers continue to take care of business.

The Saucon Valley wrestlers hit the road on Friday for another overnighter to savor the flavor of victory outside the Lehigh Valley.  Last week, the Panthers strut their stuff at the 2018 Biglerville Canner Duals just outside Gettysburg. This time the Panthers headed a little farther north toward State College to compete in Saturday’s Juniata Duals.  It doesn’t seem to matter where or when the wrestling action takes place, these Panthers are always willing to mix it up!

Here are the Panther Results from the 2018 Juniata Duals:

  •  Saucon Valley 75,  Lancaster Catholic 6
  • Saucon Valley 57,  Penns Valley 20
  • Saucon Valley 60,  Susquehanna Township 10
  • Saucon Valley 63,  Trinity 9
  • Saucon Valley 50,  St. Joseph’s Prep 25    (CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL)

SAUCON SOURCE SALUTE!…To senior Angelo Mahaffey for earning his 100th career victory as a Saucon Valley high school wrestler!  He hit the century milestone on Saturday with his victory against Susquehanna Township.  Angelo joins classmate Jason Jones in the Panthers 100-win Club!

UP NEXT:  Saucon Valley gets back to Colonial League action on Tuesday and Thursday this week.  Tuesday, the Panthers will travel up to Northern Lehigh for a yawner against the Bulldogs.  The Bulldogs, with only half a lineup, appear toothless with a 1-4 league record so far. Then, the Panthers return back home on Thursday for an interesting matchup with the Bangor Slaters. Bangor defeated Notre Dame 39-31 last week whereas the Panthers got the better of the Crusaders by a score of 38-31 on Dec. 21.  It should be another great night of Saucon Valley wrestling action!

Good Luck Panthers, the Source is with you!
