Pennsylvania State Police at Bethlehem are investigating a fatal car crash that occurred at E. Susquehanna and Potomac streets in eastern Salisbury Township early Wednesday.

Pennsylvania State Police at Bethlehem are investigating a fatal car crash that occurred at E. Susquehanna and Potomac streets in eastern Salisbury Township early Wednesday.

According to a news release the single vehicle crash occurred at approximately 1:58 a.m., when a “Hyundai GX350 was traveling northbound on Potomac Street, traveling at a high rate of speed, and as a result failed to stop at the intersection with the respective streets and struck a retaining wall on an adjacent property.”

Police said the person killed was a passenger in the vehicle and died at the scene.

The individual’s identity is being withheld “for investigation purposes,” police said Wednesday afternoon.
