Panthers Find Podium At 2018 Colonial League Track and Field Championships (Day 1)

Saucon sophomore Talitha Diggs qualified in style for the 2oom Day-Two Final. She broke her old Colonial League record of 25.47 with a new 25.36.

The Saucon Valley Panther Track and Field team is finding their share of success at the 2018 Colonial League Track and Field Championships.  The meet is being held in conjunction with the East Penn Conference Championships at Whitehall High School.  Saucon Valley has yet to crown a champion but has found plenty of the podium. The Championships continue today and the Panthers will likely earn some more hardware. And, it is likely that a Panther could break a Colonial League Meet record……….AGAIN!

Panther junior Patrick Patterson-Zuber earned a silver medal in the discus throw.

2018 Panther Day-One Medalists 

  • Discus:  Patrick Patterson-Zuber (Jr.)- 2nd Place (142-01)
  • 3200m Run:  Kiele Riefenstahl (Jr.)- 2nd Place (11:40.22)
  • 3200m Run:  Ethan Bernstein (Sr.)- 3rd Place (9:57.06)
  • 3200m Run: Matt Chaikowsky (Fr.)- 4th Place (10:05.45)
  • 3200m Relay:  Kiele Riefenstahl (Jr.), Jorryn Kyra (Fr.), Alexa Chaikowsky (Sr.), Brooke Riefenstahl (Jr.)- 4th Place (10:03.84)

Kiele was all smiles after running for silver in the two-mile.

Saucon Valley senior Ethan Bernstein and freshman Matt Chaikowsky claimed the 3rd and 4th place on the Colonial League Championships podium in the 3200m Run.

The Saucon Valley girls (Alexa Chaikowsky, Jorryn Kyra, Kiele Riefenstahl and Brooke Riefenstahl) shaved off 23 seconds to run a season best 10:03.84 in the 3200M Relay.

  • 200m Run:  Talitha Diggs (So.)-  (25.36) ***New Colonial League Record***
