The Saucon Valley Panthers competed in the 2018 Lehigh Shootout on Saturday.

The Saucon Valley High School varsity football program spent much of their Saturday competing in Lehigh University’s Shootout.  Designed as a series of 7 on 7 pass scrimmages with a unique scoring system that rewards both the offense and defense, Saucon Valley won two and lost two for the day.  The Panthers defeated both Allentown Central Catholic (B) and Emmaus (B), but dropped a couple of close calls to Allen and West York.

Twenty-four teams, some from as far away as Dover, DE, York, PA and throughout the Philadelphia region, made the trip to participate at Lehigh.  It was a day characterized by great competition and great weather.

Saucon Valley High School and Middle School Fall sports begin their practices on August, 13th.  The Panther varsity football team will travel to Southern Lehigh for a 7 p.m. opener on August, 24th.  The deadline to register for high school and middle school Fall sports is July, 22nd.
