Woman Wanted on Springfield Forgery Charges Captured, Police Say

A Lancaster woman and former resident of Upper Bucks County who was wanted by Springfield Township Police on more than 60 counts of fraud, forgery and theft has been captured, according to township police.

A Lancaster woman and former resident of Upper Bucks County who was wanted by Springfield Township Police on more than 60 counts of fraud, forgery and theft has been captured, according to township police.

Stephanie Nekoranik, 25, has been captured, Springfield Township Police said Thursday.

Police announced in a post on their Crimewatch website Thursday that Stephanie Nekoranik, 25, was apprehended in Lock Haven, Pa., and is now incarcerated in Clinton County Prison under $350,000 bail, where she is awaiting extradition to Bucks County Prison.

Nekoranik had been wanted by police since at least August.

According to police, she allegedly stole checks, wrote them out to herself and then deposited or cashed them.
