An alleged altercation between a man and woman in the 100 block of E. Saucon Street Nov. 29 drew police officers to the scene and resulted in the discovery of drugs inside a home there, Hellertown police said Wednesday.

According to a police department news release, officers responded to the home across the street from the Saucon Valley Community Center for a report of an assault there shortly before 3 p.m.

Through the course of an investigation, police said Thomas Eugene Lenner, 40, of the 1800 block of Second Street, Bethlehem Township, “was found to be the aggressor” in the “altercation” that also allegedly involved Shannel Marie Repsher, 34, of the 100 block of E. Saucon Street.

Police said Lenner was cited for harassment and released at the scene.

Subsequently, methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located inside the home where the alleged altercation occurred, police said, adding that it belongs to Repsher.

Police said charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia will be filed against Repsher in District Court 03-2-04 in Lower Saucon Township.

The large police response the alleged altercation drew attracted the attention of nearby residents and caused concern among employees of the Saucon Valley Community Center due to its close proximity to the home.
