A Lower Saucon Township man has been charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after township police say he was allegedly found to be in possession of cocaine in the University Heights neighborhood Dec. 6.
In a post on their Crimewatch website Friday, police said Triston Loux-Schafer, 26, was in a vehicle that was stopped for “suspicious activity” at Connolly Avenue and North Mountain Drive near Rt. 378 when an officer allegedly “observed a plastic bag containing white powder in plain view on the driver’s floor.”
Police said the white powder subsequently field-tested positive for cocaine.
As of Friday afternoon, online county court records had not yet been updated to indicate when or where Loux-Schafer’s preliminary hearing on the charges is scheduled to be held.
