PennDOT suggests using Rt. 309 in Coopersburg as an alternate route while gas line work is taking place on Main Street.

PennDOT said Friday that motorists who travel Main Street in Coopersburg borough should expect delays beginning Monday, March 11 and continuing through May 17 for road work related to a UGI gas line project.

The work will be taking place between Charles and State streets in Coopersburg and will be in progress weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists should be on the alert for lane restrictions and use caution when driving through the work zone.

“Motorists may wish to use (Rt.) 309 as an alternate route” through Coopersburg, PennDOT said, adding that “the work is being performed by a contractor for UGI under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.”
