We have a number of players who can play a variety of positions on the field which will provide more depth for us. When the team comes together as one unit, this group has the potential to achieve some special things.

  • Other Bits and Bites:  Saturday’s opener against Allentown Central Catholic was postponed due to saturated fields, but Coach Evancho & Co. are scheduled to travel to Northampton tomorrow for their first game.

  •  Coach Hoff’s Outlook: “Our goal is to improve our record from last year, become more cohesive, take it all the way to States and to have a great time.  I want each of the girls to remember how it feels to have a strong bind with each girl on the field. Remember the smell of the fresh cut grass, the chill of the breeze, the anticipation of each game. To remember how much fun they had playing, the friends they made, and coaches that believed in them each and every day when they may not believe in themselves. These are memories that will last a lifetime. Cherish them.  It has been a great run as a coach. The girls have come so far winning District Championships the past two years.   I am saddened that this will be my last season coaching at Saucon Valley. My family will be moving to western Pennsylvania. Where we are going, there is no girls lacrosse. Maybe, there could be.”
  • Top Competition:  Easton and Southern Lehigh
  • Other Bits and Bites:  Coach Hoff’s squad is looking to 3-Peat as District XI champs and, once again, return to the PIAA State tourney.  It all starts with tomorrow’s home-opener against Northampton.

Coach Hoff instructing her players about the importance of playing solid defense.
