A Hellertown woman is facing a charge of DUI after police say she allegedly crashed a vehicle while drunk late last month.

In a post on their Crimewatch site Wednesday, police said Jennifer Ann Allen, 37, was allegedly intoxicated when she drove her vehicle over an embankment in the 1200 block of Seidersville Road May 22.

When officers arrived at the scene of the crash, police said they found Allen still seated in the car’s driver’s seat.

After Allen allegedly failed field coordination exercises, police said she was taken to the Northampton County DUI Center for further processing.

Allen’s alleged blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was determined to be .21 percent, police said.

The maximum legal BAC for any driver in Pennsylvania .08 percent.
