SUMMARY:British Motorcar Gathering
DESCRIPTION:More than 200 vintage British sports cars will be on display when the annual British Motorcar & Motorcycle Gathering returns to Alfred J. Fritchman Reservoir Park in Hellertown. \nThe public is invited to come see many beautiful and interesting classic cars and enjoy the day in the wooded park Sunday\, June 8\, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.\, with music and catered breakfast and lunch food available in a large picnic pavilion. \nAdmission is $5 for adults and $10 for the entire family. Children 12 and under admitted free\, with a British car coloring book and a car search game provided for their education and entertainment. \nAdmission includes parking at Saucon Valley Senior High School\, 2100 Polk Valley Road\, Hellertown\, and free trolley bus rides running a continuous loop to and from the park during the show. Spectators also get a free ticket for a special gift basket raffle\, being held just for those who have come to see the cars. \nThis show–now in its 31st year–features MGs\, Triumphs\, Jaguars\, Austin-Healeys\, Morgans and Minis from throughout the region\, plus many rarer vehicles. DESCRIPTION:SSFF is an annual\, five-day event with film screenings and associated events happening throughout SouthSide Bethlehem. The volunteer-run fest features a diverse set of offerings from across the globe. The 21st Annual SouthSide Film Festival takes place June 10-14\, 2025\, with screenings and events at venues throughout Southside Bethlehem. \nThe opening night party kicks the event off at 6 p.m. at Comfort Suites. The opening night film\, screening at the Cathedral Church of the Nativity\, will be the Irish feature Four Mothers\, a comedic look at an ambitious novelist struggling to balance his career with caring for his elderly mother. \nThis year’s roster will include a skateboarding film block screening at PBS 39\, cohosted by SSFF and Homebase Skate Shop\, which includes the documentary Pipe Dream about the Quakertown Skatepark. The July 12\, 7:20 p.m. screening of these films will include live skateboarding demos on the PBS 39 plaza. \nOther festival highlights include 25 Cats from Qatar by the director of award-winning SSFF favorite Cat Daddies\, which documents a globe-spanning animal welfare effort; a Pride Month series screening at Touchstone Theater (June 12); and a block celebrating Juneteenth\, screening at PBS 39 (June 14). \nThe closing night film\, screening at Cathedral Church of the Nativity\, will be Beyond the Gaze: Jule Campbell’s Swimsuit Issue\, which chronicles the career of pioneering feminist photographer Campbell\, who photographed for the issue for 32 years. The screening will be followed by a closing-night party at the Goosey Gander beginning at 9 p.m. \nDigital all-access passes ($65 or $50 for seniors/students) are available for purchase at Filmfreeway.com/SouthSideFilmFestivalBethlehemPA/tickets. DESCRIPTION:Step back in time on one of the Hellertown Historical Society’s public tours\, which are offered at 10 a.m. on the second and fourth Saturday of the month through Oct. 25\, 2025. Tours are held at the historic Heller-Wagner Grist Mill Complex and include the Colonial era Wash House\, the Grist Mill Museum and the Pole Barn\, which houses early blacksmithing\, woodworking and farming equipment. Visitors will learn about Hellertown’s early settlers\, the Heller family’s role in developing the community and the town’s evolution into the 1900s. \nTickets can be purchased in person at the Miller’s House Gift Shop\, which is open Tuesdays\, Thursdays and Saturdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. While walk-ins are welcome\, pre-scheduling is recommended to ensure availability.
