SUMMARY:Spend an Evening in a Colonial Tavern
DESCRIPTION:Join us for “Colonial Tavern Night” in the 1761 Heller-Wagner Grist Mill\, a new addition to our country’s National Register of Historic Places. Go back to the 1700s and enjoy an evening of colonial games\, music and lively discussions about colonial taverns and their popular culture. Dine on a hearty colonial-era dinner from Saylors & Co. of Hellertown and sip Lost Tavern Brewery’s fine beer and cider\, as well as local wines. Colonial re-enactors will sit with guests and guide them through the evening’s festivities. Get into the spirit of the night and wear your own colonial attire. Our colonial-dressed volunteers will serve your food and beverages and mingle with you throughout the evening. Tickets are required and can be purchased online in advance through the HHS website or at the Society’s offices at 150 W. Walnut Street in south Hellertown. Ticket sales are limited to 42 guests. HHS members can attend the event for $35 per person\, and non-members for $45. The event is open to adults 21 years of age and older. For tickets\, go to the HHS website or email info@hhstours.org. The Tavern Room is located at 150 W. Walnut St.\, Hellertown. Parking is available adjacent to the Tavern Room and also across Walnut Street at the Saucon Rail Trail trailhead.
