Photos: Hundreds Attend Black Lives Matter Protest in Bethlehem

A large group of protestors assembled outside of Bethlehem City Hall and the Public Library Thursday afternoon as part of a continuation of nationwide protests following the death of George Floyd at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer. Thursday’s stand-in came just four days after Saturday’s rally in which hundreds of protestors marched through the streets of Bethlehem in protest of a history of systemic racism in the country.

Primary Election Day 2020 in PA Came With a Curveball

Pennsylvania voted Tuesday, although statewide race results will be delayed until next Tuesday, June 9 due to Gov. Tom Wolf’s executive order which extended the deadline to receive mail-in ballots in six counties (the ballots must still have been postmarked by June 2).

Earlier this week the Hellertown Borough Authority celebrated its 80th birthday, Administrator Lauren Suflata announced in a Facebook post on the Authority’s page. The Authority has been responsible for providing water and wastewater needs for the borough for nearly a century.
