Volunteers Needed for Township Budget Advisory Committee

Lower Saucon Township is seeking volunteers to serve on a newly-formed Budget Advisory Committee. The committee will be comprised of the Township Finance Director, the Township Controller, a council representative, and, at minimum, two township residents with accounting or finance backgrounds. The committee, which was included in the recommendations made by a 2014 study of the township’s budget process, will meet during 2015 and review the Finance Department’s policies and procedures. It will issue a report to township council by Oct. 1, 2015.

Township Seeks to Fill Finance Clerk Position

Lower Saucon Township is accepting applications for a finance clerk position through Feb. 13, 2015. According to a job posting on the township’s website, the finance clerk will assist the township’s finance director with “all aspects of the township’s financial, accounting and bookkeeping functions.” Applicants must have a high school diploma and financial clerk or bookkeeping experience, in addition to data entry, financial software, general accounting, information analysis and verbal communication skills.
