Man Wouldn’t Stop Cursing, Then Resisted Arrest, Police Say

Hellertown Police said in a news release Monday that a borough man was recently charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, following an alleged incident in the 600 block of Main Street. Police said officers responded to that area for a medical assistance call shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday. At that time, police said Kyle Weirback, 30, of the 600 block of Main Street, began cursing at officers because the lights and sirens used had woken him up. An article published by the Express-Times that cites court records says Weirback was passed out on the street and was upset because his rest had been disturbed. After being woken, Weirback refused to stop using obscenities while citizens were present on the street in the business district, the news release said.
