Saucon Stars Sign Letters of Intent

The first Wednesday in February is National Letter of Intent Day. It is a day in which high school senior student-athletes all across the country officially commit to their prospective universities. Four Saucon Valley students signed their letters today during a ceremony in the high school library.

Dear Saucon Valley Community,

We are the captains of the 2015 Saucon Valley Varsity Football Team. On behalf of our entire team, we would like to thank you for your incredible support throughout this past season. To our coaches, parents, teachers and administration, your guidance was irreplaceable. To our fans, the cheerleaders, band and “Jungle,” thanks for cheering us on each and every week. To our local businesses, police and fire departments and EMS personnel, thanks for being behind us every step of the way.

Panther Play of the Week: Evan Culver’s Pick-Six (Brought to You by Main Street Gym)

Saucon Valley’s Evan Culver came up big on both sides of the ball last night in the PIAA quarterfinal contest with Selinsgrove. Not only did he rush 24 times for 207 yards and 3 touchdowns, but he also added a “pick-six” to lead the Panthers to victory. Watch here as the Saucon Valley cornerback snags this first quarter interception for a “pick-six” to put his team up 14-0. The Panthers beat Selinsgrove 35-7. Evan, rightfully so, gets a whole lot of recognition for his on the field accomplishments.
