It’s the time of year when there’s a lot of anticipation for Trick-or-Treat. But first you have to be able to remember when it is. That sounds easy enough to do, but in some muncipalities dates and times for the event have changed frequently over the years.
Fountain Hill Borough Council’s current president, Leo Atkinson, announced that he will resign from council at the end of this month at the borough’s Oct. 21 council meeting.
The Borough of Fountain Hill will host a drive-thru trick-or-treat event at the Fountain Hill Police Department building in lieu of the traditional, door-to-door candy extravaganza.
Fountain Hill Borough Council spent a large portion of their Oct. 5 meeting going over their options for a new trash and recycling contract. Council ultimately decided on a bid which will reduce trash pickup from twice a week to only once a week.

Last Monday, Aug. 3, the Fountain Hill Fire Department elected Derek Richmond to the position of fire chief. Richmond, who was previously serving as assistant fire chief for the department, took over for Rick Reis, whose most recent stint as fire chief began in 2018.
