The Saucon Valley boys varsity lacrosse team lost 7-15 to Parkland at home on April 22. The Panthers (2-9) were scheduled to play Pleasant Valley (3-13) at home on Monday at 7 p.m. in a non-conference game.
August D. “Gus” Schwartz, 20, of South Whitehall Township, died Dec. 14, 2021 as a result of an accident on Interstate 78 East in Tilden Township, Berks County. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.
The walk-outs planned at Saucon Valley, Palisades and other area schools this Wednesday are in remembrance of the victims of the Parkland, Fla., school shooting. The event is also viewed as a protest by some students who say they are tired of legislative inaction over gun violence in schools.
