Penn State LV Announces Summer Youth Camps

Penn State Lehigh Valley has announced its lineup of one-week, half-day youth camps which will run from July 11-15, 2016. The popular Musikfest Video camp is back for a second year, along with a renewed focus on STEAM (science, technology, engineering and math) camps.

Attend One of Four Application Nights at Penn State Lehigh Valley

Prospective students interested in applying to Penn State, including any of the campuses, are invited to attend one of four application nights at Penn State Lehigh Valley. Campus admissions representatives will be on hand to help prospective students complete their applications for Spring, Summer and Fall 2016 enrollment, as well as answer any application-related questions. The application fee will be waived for those who visit the Lehigh Valley campus. The four application night dates include:

Tuesday, November 10 from 6–8 p.m.
Wednesday, November 11 from 6–8 p.m.
Tuesday, November 17 from 6–8 p.m.
Wednesday, November 18 from 6–8 p.m.

Penn State LV Names New Chancellor

Note: The following information is from a Penn State Lehigh Valley press release. Tina Q. Richardson, associate dean of academic affairs at Drexel University’s School of Education, has been named chancellor of the Penn State Lehigh Valley campus, effective July 15. Richardson will succeed Ann Williams, who retires from the post after 15 years with the campus. “I’m a firm believer that education brings about opportunity and in turn inspiration. All students should have the chance to benefit from high quality education and the inspiration that follows.

Student Art Exhibit Opens at Penn State LV (PHOTOS)

An art exhibit featuring the works of 95 local students opened June 1 at the Ronald K. De Long Gallery at Penn State Lehigh Valley in Center Valley, and the opening was celebrated with a reception held Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m.

Works on display were created in drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, metalwork, ceramics, graphic design, film and TV production courses under the instruction of Katina Bozikis, Greta Brubaker, Ron De Long, Christina Galbiati, Liz Keptner, Ann Lalik and Corianne Thompson. The exhibit will remain on display through July 1. Summer gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is no admission charge. Penn State Lehigh Valley is located at 2809 Saucon Valley Road, Center Valley. The gallery is located on the third floor of the building.
