Lady Panthers Past And Present Return For Kicks

With the start of the 2019 PIAA Sports season only two weeks away, Lady Panther soccer players, past and present, took part in the 13th annual alumni soccer game over the weekend.  About thirty graduates returned home to Saucon Valley in order to reconnect and compete on a sultry Saturday afternoon.

Saucon Seniors Shine In All-Star Soccer Classic

Five Saucon Valley seniors and a Panther soccer coach were selected to represent the Colonial League and participate in this year’s LVSSAF All-Star Classic against some of the best senior players who made their home in the East Penn Conference. Last Sunday, boys and girls teams from each league squared off in an afternoon of soccer competition on the turf at Salisbury High School.

Yesterday the Saucon Valley high school girls’ soccer team defeated the Palmerton Blue Bombers by a 5-0 score.  Saucon was paced by junior Brooke Riefenstahl and her four goals.  Senior Mackenzie Dickey added another in the Panther victory.  Saucon Valley improved to a 3-1-2 overall record and remain unbeaten (2-0-2) in the Colonial League.

Girl Alums Win by a Score of 4 to 1

Saturday was a great day with a fantastic turnout for the 11th Annual Saucon Valley Girls Soccer Alumni game.  Almost thirty alumni returned to take part in part in fun-filled competition against the 2017 Saucon Valley JV and Varsity squad.  For the second year in a row, the Alumni seized the day with a victory.

SV Girls Soccer Alumni Prevail in 10th Annual Showdown

The weather was oppressively hot and humid on Saturday. It was downright miserable. But the smiles and enthusiasm suppressed most of the complaints as the Saucon Valley girls soccer Alumni regained bragging rights by defeating the 2016 Panther JV-Varsity squad with a 6-2 score at yesterday’s matinee.

Say Hello to these 2015 Colonial League Soccer All-Stars! All four are seniors at Saucon Valley High School and all four are just fantastic young ladies. And, they’re not bad soccer players either. In fact, they are all such good soccer players that the Colonial League coaches recently recognized them with “1st Team” honors!
