Barnes & Noble Book Fair Will Benefit SV Elementary School

A book fair Friday, Dec. 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Barnes & Noble at the Promenade Shops will benefit Saucon Valley Elementary School. Everyone is invited to attend and help support the school.

Everyone is invited to attend a book fair Friday, Dec. 2 at a local Barnes & Noble which will benefit Saucon Valley Elementary School.

"The Polar Express" is a popular children's book by Chris Van Allsburg, first published in 1985. It will be read by Saucon Valley Elementary School Assistant Principal Jim Deegan at the Book Fair Dec. 2.

It will be a perfect opportunity to stock up on gifts, since a portion of proceeds from purchases made in the store using the coupon code 12034484 from 5 to 8 p.m. will benefit the school (purchases can also be made online at BN.com/bookfairs from Dec. 2-7 using the code, which should be entered at checkout). Most items are eligible for the fundraiser, however gift cards, electronics, textbooks, magazines, video games and some other items may not be eligible for book fair purchases.

Events at the book fair will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Barnes & Noble store in the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley, 2845 Center Valley Parkway, Center Valley.

Story times featuring readings by teachers will be held from 5 to 5:15 p.m. and 6 to 6:45 p.m., and a special reading of the holiday classic The Polar Express will take place at 7 p.m.

The Panther Players chorus will perform in the center of the store at 5:30 p.m. and there will be a scavenger hunt as well as a chance to win a Blondie Blast Party for a class.

Complimentary gift wrapping will also be available from 5 to 8 p.m. (donations will benefit the school).
