Judith Ann Tomecsek, 68, of Walnutport (OBITUARY)

Est. Read Time: 2 mins

Judith Ann Tomecsek, 68, of Walnutport, formerly of Allentown and Emmaus, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. Judy was a mother, a spouse, a sister, a co-worker, a friend and most of all, an inspiration. She was the second-longest surviving heart transplant recipient from Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital, N.Y. Judy taught us that laughter is the best medicine. She laughed when she was feeling well and laughed when she was in pain. Her smile and laughter were contagious. Once she started laughing it was impossible not to join her. She was strong, positive and unwavering in her faith. She was the wife of John Jr. of Allentown. Judy was born in Allentown on Oct. 25, 1946 to the late Paul and Mary (Kercsmar) Smith. She worked at the membership desk at Sam’s Club. She was a member of St. John’s Windish Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem, and St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Allentown. Rarely are we blessed to meet such a kind, caring, cheerful and inspirational person.
