Bruce D. Davis, 88, passed away Monday, Feb. 22, 2016 in Audubon after a brief illness. He was born in Yonkers, N.Y., to the late Roland and Sophie Davis. He was married to the late Bernadette Rose Hearty in 1953 and they enjoyed a beautiful marriage until her passing in 2002. Mr. Davis attended college at Cornell University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering in 1950. He received his masters of business administration from Cornell University in 1952 and his juris doctorate from Saint John’s University in 1955. After serving in the Army Intelligence Service upon graduation he began a career as a business executive that included a number of senior positions in Fortune 500 companies. He led a private equity buyout of a chemical manufacturing and mining company in Tennessee, and finished his career as consultant to chemical companies in North Carolina and Delaware. Mr. Davis had a passion for woodworking and gardening, and took great interest in his children’s and grandchildren’s lives.

Jr. and his wife Suzanne of Philadelphia, Neil H. and his wife Martha of Hampton, N.J., Dwight H. and his wife Laurel of Wallingford, Sean D. and his wife Donna of Baltimore, Md.; grandchildren: Alec, Taylor, Emily, Logan, Luke, Kylee, Maeve and Christina; brother: Kenneth Davis of Evansville, Ind.
SERVICE
Family and friends are invited to call from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 5 p.m. Private interment will be at Milford Union Cemetery, Milford, N.J.
