Louise A. Mangano, 100, of Lower Saucon (Obituary Brought to You by Heintzelman Funeral Home)

Louise A. Mangano, 100, of Lower Saucon Township, formerly of Mt. Vernon, N.Y., died Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Gracedale Nursing Home, Upper Nazareth Township. She was the wife of the late Frank G. Mangano, who died in 1963. Louise was born in Lawrence, Mass., on Jan. 31, 1916 to the late Charles and Rose Mary (Lovallo) Amoruso. She worked in the garment industry for 17 years and was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. She also worked in a retail fabric store for 10 years and in Mt. Vernon Daycare Center as a teacher for 10 years. Louise retired in 1982 and then did volunteer work at the Senior Center in Mount Vernon, N.Y., teaching crafts until moving to Saucon Valley in 1989.

SURVIVORS

Sons: Richard M. husband of Catherine of Radnor Township and Robert A. husband of Debra of Lower Saucon Township; sister: Irene A. wife of Felice (Phil) Nappi of New Braunfels, Texas; grandchildren: Robert husband of Stacy, Christopher, Karen and Nicholas; great-grandchildren: Oliver and Charlotte. Louise was predeceased by siblings: Theresa, Josephine, Rosemary and Anthony.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 9:45 a.m. at the Church of St. Joseph, 15 Cedar St., Bronxville, NY 10708. The interment will conclude services at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, New Rochelle, NY. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
