Attention, golfers! The Hellertown Lions Club’s annual golf tournament will be held Friday, Sept. 30, 2016 at 8 a.m. (registration begins at 7 a.m.) at Wedgewood Golf Course in Coopersburg–and the time to register is NOW.
The cost to play in the scramble format tournament is $70 per person or $280 per team, which makes it one of the most affordable golf outings in the area.
Players will have the opportunity to win a new car provided by Chevy 21 of Bethlehem and will also enjoy a luncheon catered by Braveheart Highland Pub of Hellertown.
There will also be a 50/50 raffle, mulligans, a closest to the pin contest, a straightest drive contest, a longest drive contest, a “Pot of Gold” and many other door prizes.
The golf tournament is one of the Hellertown Lions Club’s biggest fundraisers of the year and the club is still seeking both hole sponsors ($50) and/or banner sponsors ($150).
If you’re not sure about being a sponsor (or are already a sponsor)–and still want to support the tournament–consider donating a door prize, just like Villanova University, the Philadelphia Flyers, the Reading Royals, Lehigh University, the Reading Fightin’ Phillies and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs have already done. Your business/organization will also be recognized at the outing as a door prize donor.
