Saucon Boys Soccer Prevails Over Pen Argyl, Senior Day Celebrated

The eight senior members of the Saucon boys varsity soccer team were escorted onto their home field by their parents Saturday, which was Senior Day for the team.

Senior Day was celebrated Saturday morning at the Saucon Valley Boys Soccer game vs. Pen Argyl, and the celebration continued with another victory, as Saucon Valley prevailed 2-0 over their opponent.

Both of Saucon’s goals were scored in the first half, with the first netted by senior Sean Freed. Then a hand ball in the box by a Pen Argyl player caused a penalty kick.

Senior captain Zach Harvey took the shot and brought the score to 2-0.

Senior goalkeeper Noah Kriner made numerous saves to score the shutout.

Prior to the game, the eight senior members of the team were recognized and escorted by their parents onto their home field.

The eight senior team members are Sean Freed, Khoa Nguyen, Josh Snead, Ryan Smith, Noah Kriner, Zach Harvey, Cole Gilotti and Ben Lehr.

Saucon has two more regular season games this season before they begin playoffs.
