Make Sure Your Car Seat is Safe Prior to Summer Travel

Est. Read Time: < 1 min

With summer vacation season here, it’s especially important to make sure your child and infant car seats are properly adjusted before embarking on a trip.

A child car seat could save your baby’s life in the case of an accident, but the seat’s effectiveness depends on its proper installation and use.

To help parents and guardians, St. Luke’s will host a free car seat clinic from 12 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 27 at St. Luke’s Allentown Campus, 1736 Hamilton St., Allentown.

Certified technicians will check your car seat to make sure it is optimally placed and secured in your vehicle. They will also demonstrate proper car seat use.

The clinic will be held at the Allentown hospital’s east parking lot. Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are encouraged.

Parents should bring their children’s car seats and instruction booklets and their car manuals, plus the child who uses each car seat.

To make an appointment or for more information, call 1-866-STLUKES.
