There is opportunity for all athletes to compete in any sport on a year-round basis anymore. Certainly, summer league basketball opportunities have been available to high school student athletes for decades.
The Saucon Valley high school girls basketball team is taking advantage of the opportunity and participating in Wilson Area High School’s summer league that plays Monday and Wednesday evenings. Teams play two 20-minute halves (running clock) with PIAA referees. It is a wonderful opportunity for the players to compete, get a little exercise, and bond with their teammates.
