Paul Edward VanNorman, 81, of Center Valley, Pa., and Spring Hill, Fla., died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Health Network-Pocono. He was the husband of Marion (Buchman) VanNorman. Born in Allentown on Jan. 23, 1936, he was the son of the late Ralph W. and Anna (Dravitz) VanNorman. He graduated from St. Rose High School, Belmar, N.J., and Lehigh University. He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army. Paul was a credit representative at Bethlehem Steel and Bethlehem Rebar for 29 years, and later a senior treasury administrator at ABB Power T&D. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Bethlehem, where he served on the usher team. He was an active Lehigh alumnus and treasurer of his class for 20 years. He was a member of the Lehigh Valley Grasshoppers golf league, past president of the Woodcrest Homeowners Association, a volunteer at the Hellertown Area Library and a driver for ShareCare.
SURVIVORS
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by children: O. Christopher Miller and partner William Bender of Reading, Kendrick J. E. (Laura) Miller of Leawood, Kan., Paul G. VanNorman of Allentown and Karen VanNorman; sister: Doris VanNorman of Bethlehem; five grandchildren; feline friend: Shadow. He was predeceased by daughter: Michelle Tirpak.
SERVICE
Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, 2344 Center St., Bethlehem, PA 18017. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown, where expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
