John H. Conrad, 77, of Upper Saucon Township died Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Janice E. (Cressman) Conrad. They celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary July 7. John was born in Brookline, Mass., on Oct. 11, 1940 to the late John H. and Alice (Samuels) Conrad. He was a painter and decorator for IUPATU. John was a member of New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lower Saucon Township, where he was known for his gold lettering on the altar. He was a member of Spring Valley Sportsmans Club, Springtown Rod and Gun Club, Beethoven Waldheim Club, Coopersburg Fire Hall, Upper Saucon Social Club and the NRA. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. John enjoyed art museums and flea markets. John loved revisiting New England and the ocean and longtime friends. He enjoyed reminiscing about his youth as a lobster fisherman. His great joys were fishing in Alaska and enjoying the best-ever wildlife at his home.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown, and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lower Saucon Township. The calling hour Saturday morning will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. Casual wear is requested. The interment will conclude services at Durham Cemetery.
